no one actually thinks crappy schools are fine. but people will advocate for their own children to attend the best school they can, no matter where in DC you live, you will do this. it is called being a good parent.

The problem is that for most Ward 3 parents it is the kid attending the crappy school possibility of attending your child's school that helps make it crappy. Education is a public good that well off people hoard.
