Ouch. This isn't going to help Ward 6 at all. The elementary school PTAs should back far, far away from this document.
They sound like victims which isn't a great way to accomplish goals. |
Actually, it is. Not only does Congress tell you so (by mandating choice all around in DC) but the market confirms it: People are willing to pay high prices/rents and hedge their bets, some figuring that time will be their side, some confident that they can help shape their choices, and some knowing they have an every-increasing number of choices all around. |
Agreed. But CHPSPO and its self appointed (anointed) group is not representative of the parents it purports to speak on behalf of. Further, the way CHPSPO did it last time (in 2010) was an utter failure, and they are going down the same road again. |
| It is just so poorly written. |
| It's a hack job full of personal opinions couched as community engagement. I don't recall any member of CHPSPO coming to my school and asking a consensus opinion. Do you? |
And, let me they speak on behalf of "Ward 6" but don't include other PTA or parent groups from the Ward. I have sent a letter to CM Cantania saying that this does not represent the opinion of Ward 6. Best of luck to CHPSPO, I hope in the future you will reach out to other organizations in the Ward. |
| Does the "rest of us" include "everyone other than Brent parents"? Because that's how it should be defined. |
|
I'm IB for the Cluster and this is the first I've heard of any of this. What gives? |
I am not sure what this means. Brent has nothing to do with this letter to Catania/Henderson |
+1. |
This is patently clear. And why is underground parking at SH a middle school priority? |
SH just got 32 million for modernization, EH and Jefferson are pushed to the back of the line, and realistically will get zero funding for modernization, and SH has the gumption to ask for an expensive parking facility? CHPSPO is a bunch of Cluster flacks with a few dreamers along for the ride. |
| SH = big pimpin' |
