they screwed up our takeout recently and i called to just let them know and they delivered the missing items to our house...

I'm the PP. I actually did call before DH went over and was expecting that they would be willing to do that, but the kid on the phone said that since we were take-out (as opposed to delivery) we had to bring the incorrect items back to the store and they would give us what we ordered. And then when DH showed up, he barely apologized. We were really irritated. I'm excited to try Italian Store pizza now-- and to find out they are going to have a coffee bar! That will be so nice in the summer esp on days that we walk up there for the farmer's market.

I live up by Marymount and am a big fan of Westover.

Really like the beer selection at the Westover Market.

Re PP who doesn't like Lost Dog, I'm not a salad lover but their Fat Willis salad is really good. chicken, bacon, some kind of cheese (goat or feta), avocado, onions, lettuce…good dressing (white; don't know what kind)

for those of you complaining about parking at westover, there is parking behind and also beside where 7-11 used to be. That parking lot beside 7-11 is always empty. always.

I wish the crappy Giant with the rotten food would close.

One of the reasons the Italian Store chose Westover for its second location was the good parking in the lot next to what will be the new store. I laugh when I see people waiting for the angled parking spaces in front of the stores There is a big lot in the back of the shops. Of corse when you go through the back door of the ever funky Ayers Hardware, you must brave the smoke from the Forest Inn denizens

With the new Westover townhouses, the area is changing daily. Another big announcement on Westover will be made in January Stay tuned

Interesting. The 7-11 at Lee Highway and George Mason Drive closed recently, too.

VHC owns the plot and raised the rent on the new (4 months in) 7-11 franchisee. He couldn't afford to pay so he closed. The shoe store paid up.
