| Both my sister nad mom are pears. I am an apple. |
| My sister and I have completely different body types. She is 5'5", hourglass figure with beautiful legs and bust but probably could lose 30 lbs. I am 5'8", lean and long with no curves to speak of. Mom is apple shaped but had a beautiful hourglass figure until her mid-50's when an anxiety disorder set in. My entire family is similarly shaped- lots of girl cousins on maternal side who have my grandmas shape( hourglass) while the rest of us got grandpa's genes ( tall, thin). At family parties, the ones who most resemble each other and should be siblings are actually cousins. People comment on it all of the time. |
| Not really. I am much taller than my mom. She is 5'4" and I am 5'9". I have a larger frame. I could wear her clothing in 5th grade but by 6th grade I was too tall (and broad shoulders). My mom has hips. I have no hips or butt and wear a 34 DD. |
| Not at all. My mom and her twin are apple shaped, I am more pear/hourglass. I'm told I take after the women in my dad's side of the family. I have her large, flat feet though. LOL |
| The older I get, the more I look just like my mom. I used to be a pear, but I'm getting the same round belly she has. |
| I wish. My mom was petite and trim with an hour-glass figure, long slender hands and high cheekbones. Me, not so much! But I do have her eyes which I am grateful for now that she is gone. |

Yes, the same, but I'm much taller.
Wide shoulders, bigger boobs, no butt, apple shape, cankles, longer legs-i sound like a freak, huh! I wish I had the delicate upper body, but no. Fat collects around my belly. Sugar and wheat shouldn't be in my diet. |
If your Mom was hourglass in her youth, she is still hourglass with weight. Apples are apples no matter how much they weigh. I am an apple. |

I'm pretty much a carbon copy of my mother, to the extent that my father does regular double takes when he catches a quick glimpse of me and thinks my mom has come back from the grave. She was tall (5'9''), with somewhat curvy hips, broad shoulders, size 11 feet (thanks mom!), long elegant hands, and barely any boobs. I share all those traits, although she was probably a little skinnier than I was through my 20s and 30s.
One of my sisters is very similar, although a bit smaller than mom and I and a bit more apple shaped. My other sister is several inches shorter and actually has boobs, but is otherwise proportioned like the rest of us. |

I'm built very differently from my mother. I'm 5'8" and lean/muscular with no boobs; she was 5'4" with boobs and a little padding. I might be built like my dad was when he was younger, but he's gained a lot of weight in the last 20 years.
My brother is skinnier than I am, but we both put on muscle really easily and get very defined when we work out. My sister is an inch shorter than me, and I think she has the body I would have if I didn't work out daily - she's a bit curvier, a bit softer. (she does have bigger boobs, though.) |
If you are an hourglass and then gain belly weight, you can become an apple. |
