How to lock closet door?

Goto to amazon.com and search for keyed privacy lock. Basically it a lockset with two door knobs that locks with a key.

Easy to install - read the instructions. Even if it is your first time I would say give it 15 minutes and you will be all set.

In hindsight should have locked the front door with respect to my MIL. My wife never had the courage to stand up to her - MIL goes into everything. I find it a complete violation of my privacy. Wife never saw it that way because I think she was afraid to stand up to her MOM. Wish I was stronger back in the day.

Huh? Because some spaces are common with DH, MIL is entitled to rummage through them?

In all seriousness, I would put police tape across the inside of the closets and cabinets.

Why was DH livid that you locked the bedroom door? Did he get home early and was unable to get in the bedroom to change out of his work clothes? Or did MIL mention it and he was pissed? It makes a difference. Why does she go in your closet? Is she cleaning it while your gone or just looking around? I would ask her directly whey she goes in your closet. Tell her that it makes you uncomfortable. Honestly though, you have a larger husband problem than a MIL problem.
