Musical instrument--how to choose?

The Kennedy Center will be doing a petting zoo/concert this weekend, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Georgetown. I know OP has already been to one, but maybe other people are interested. This one is their "Musical Opposites" program.

"In this lively program for ages 4 and older, a string quartet from the National Symphony Orchestra, featuring, Jane Bowyer Stewart, violin, Holly Hamilton, violin, Jim Deighan, viola, and David Teie, cello, engage the audience with musical contrasts, from the technical to the emotional.

Explore simple musical opposites such as high and low, loud and soft, fast and slow, then hear excerpts of the masters, Beethoven, Haydn, and Tchaikovsky. Enjoy hands-on fun with the musical instrument “petting zoo,” which gives children a chance to get up close with the instruments."

Finding the right instrument for your child is essential. Remember to ensure that your child’s instrument is of a suitable size and decent quality too! This will go a long way to bolster your child’s effective learning and enjoyment in his or her music education. Nevertheless, while following these tips to choosing an instrument is important, getting the right start is not the only element for your child’s success in music. Commitment to practice is just as important, if not more. P.S.: I don't know why, but my son didn't wanted to play any guitar, drums, cello, etc. - he wished to find something unique. So, we have researched all the music instruments and we decided to get a tongue drum from https://handpanguru.com/steel-tongue-drums/...What can i say about? He is playing it all the time! And really happy about the decision of purchase.
