Ever been to London or the UK around Christmas?

To clarify: we would be open to traveling Pre Christmas or even for New Years. And we would've open to visiting other parts of the UK (or Europe). I guess I was focusing on the UK since I hoped to attend mass if we were there over Christmas, and I would want to understand what was happening.
