| That jay Matthews piece was yet another of his one-sided opinion pieces. He does not consider full time advanced placement like Fairfax's, just occasional pull outs. Also, he concludes that gt services are not good because it would be better to let these kids do their own thing and keep school out of their way. Other than homeschooling, that is not the option these kids get. Schools most certainly will not stay out of their way. They will fill many hours with unchallenging work and busywork homework if these kids are not given challenging work. |
