I'm a Rebecca, so I'm partial to that name. I really like Ruth too though, and Reut - now that I know how to pronounce it - is lovely.

I love Raina. It's one of my favorite names starting with any letter.

Romy is pretty popular in Israel these days (ROAM-ee). As is the aforementioned Roni. They both work well for non-Hebrew speakers.

My name is Reut and I live in the USA. Americans have a really hard time pronouncing my name and usually call me "Ray-oot". The correct phonetic pronunciation is like "red boot" without the d and b, "reh-oot". In hebrew it is soft and pretty.

I knew a girl with that name when I was a camp counselor. She pronounced it Ray Oot. Lovely name.

It's ugly. And, you can't keep your child in a bubble - they will spend their whole lives meeting new people and having to explain their name.

Wow, most of these are so ugly. Please don't name your daughter Reut. The only decent ones are Rachel and Rebecca.

Roto-Reuter?
