Hand washing when you get to school

We do this at our daycare--and remind parents who don't do it.

What I don't get are the people who are fanatic about hand washing but ok with wearing shoes in the classroom. Kids are constantly playing on and therefore touching the floor, which means that their freshly washed hands are touching whatever was on the bottom of everybody's shoes.
