| NCAA really is a whole other issue. For the record, D3 colleges do not offer athletic scholarships. The rules are very different. Less time spent on sports. |
| Yes, I do think there is too much emphasis. It takes up a lot of time with practice and games and so on. Too much time. Also the coaches want to have that Regional or State win which is a real commitment for the student. That would be fine if the student was very talented in sports, but if they are not (which most HS students are not around here) it wastes time that could better be spent on other things, such as academics. |
