| $700 for a cocktail dress |
| $600 for wedding dress, which was a waste. It was fine for the purpose, but would have been much happier buying white or light colored evening dress for half the price like my smart friend did. |
| $!M plus income and I have never paid more than $350 for a dress, and rarely that much, and I always look fabulous. Labels simply aren't that important to me and won't spend a lot of money on something that doesn't have longevity. To each his own. |
WOW you dont spend on clothes but needed to pat your fat ass on the back for your $"!M" (whatever that means) income. Hahahaha. |
OP specified that wedding/bridesmaid dresses were not included. To answer the question, $200 and I've had plenty of use of the dress. |
| $300. |
| $70. I'm a frequent shopper and never seen any dress that was so cute I felt it was worth over $100. |
Pretty skinny ass actually. I simply think it is asinine to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars for a dress--no matter what one's income. Sadly, people get drawn into the hype of buying a certain label--usually to prove something. I have nothing to prove and hope those who may feel compelled to buy that ridiculously expensive dress (becuae after all "everyone" is doing it-- may see that it is not a reflection of wealth--just most likely debt. |
| 300.00 - and there are the workhorses of my closet. |
| I don't remember exactly, but it was well under $200 I can tell you that. |
| To me, the "dress" part is throwing off the discussion. So many women have dresses as a very small part of the wardrobe. If you asked...shoes, handbags, outerwear, jacket, suit and so on, that might fit what women actually spend on better. Dress? usually a special occasion one time event. |
| 700 for wedding dress. Other than that, 189 each for two dresses for my SIL's wedding last year. Both worth it. I'm thrifty so that was a big splurge. |
| Probably $200 or so. I don't wear dresses much, though - just to weddings and events, but I wear pants to work. |
|
$350 for a JCrew bridesmaid dress I will never wear again. Thanks BFF.
Aside from that, probably $300 for a special occasion dress. |
| I spent about $800 on my wedding dress. Other than that I'd guess the most I've ever spent on a dress is around $150. |
