None of us is a veteran so the application shouldn't require a DD 215 to be considered complete.

OP, could you provide the exact wording of the "DD 215" reference.

Because I believe what is meant here is that IF YOU ARE A VETERAN, your application requires a DD 215 (proof of discharge) to be complete. It makes no sense for non veterans to provide this form and they can't open it only to veterans.

I've never seen a job vacancy for vets only? Make sure you havent marked that you have veteran preference and now it's asking for proof?

It's not illegal for a supervisor not to announce that a job is available in your group and on usajobs - it's not nice and I don't use the word "fair" too often but definitely not illegal or HR wouldn't allow it.

Not sure how a DD215 (correction to amend a DD214) is going to help here.
