He is not a kidnapper. He is her FATHER. A kidnapper is a stranger, hence what the pre-adoptive family did. Parents, when possible, deserve to raise their child.

Wow, I did not see they ordered her return. How horrible for that child. I hope the father fights this.

The father showed NO INTEREST/the birth/or first four months. I can only guess he was pressured by "the tribe" to get the baby back. She is not an artifact to be passed around. The courts should have looked only at whats best for her and that would have been to finalize the adoption.
Its weird to me how so many people think biology trumps all else. Some folks are just shitty parents even blood related. The courts never should have considered that Indian regulation, its outdated and we don't need two classes of kids in this country.

its a pointless and very outdated federal law. Indian children are not abducted etc. What stupid law. Indian kids are extra special? No, they are kids and the best interest of the child trumps everything. Im guessing most of you don't have kids or else you would know that the intitial 27 month bond with the adoptive parents is huge and to break that and hand baby off to a stranger because of some Federal law based on events 40-50 years ago is reprehensible.

He was and got the adoption papers on deployment. Did not realize what they were, signed them, realized it, tried to cancel it and they refused. They lied about many things in the process to get around the laws.

These rich, selfish and entitled pre-adoptive parents need to let go...this was never their child and they duped the bio dad, along with the bio mom and their shady attorney. If they loved this child, they would not have dragged her through this long legal battle and given her to her rightful bio father when he asked for her at the age of 4 months. They just want to win at this point. They do not deserve to be parents and should be barred from ever adopting again.
