| I had a wheaton growing up named Lucky. Best.dog.ever. |
Okay, I just got it. Furr-gus
|
| No names to add, but congratulations! We have a wheaten and they are wonderful dogs. |
Eh. We have a wheaten currently from the same breeder (12 years old) and he is a wonderful dog with no issues. We went with what we knew would work for our family. Thanks for the advice, y'all! |

I was going to suggest something from an Irish fairy tale. Maybe Oisin, CĂș Chulainn, Finn McCool, etc.
But I really do like Fergus. Of course my Irish husband has a cousin by that name. |
|
I like Duffy. (A dog trainer once told me it's helpful to give dogs names starting with a hard consonant so dogs can hear their name more easily.)
I have a soft spot for Fergus though: http://www.amazon.com/Good-Boy-Fergus-David-Shannon/dp/0439490278 |
How is it analogous? Because it tries to name the dog in a clever way based on the dog's inherent qualities. Snoooooooze. Any name. Something that doesn't turn on some cute little attribute of the dog. There are millions. |
Fido? |
We'll go with Buddy then. Or Max? |
|
I vote for Fergus.
My dog is Dryfeus and I will keep Fergus on my next list. |
|
Aren't you worried about offending Irish people?

| What about Rufus (Rufous?) |
