| statistically, I'm way more likely to kill my own child in my car than they get kidnapped. I will say some kids in our area don't have safe streets to cross, that would be a much bigger concern to me - the county asks kids to walk in places and for distances the adults who set the policies would never do themselves - though for my neighborhood elementary school the walk is luckily close with quiet streets. But with 50% of the schools having no aftercare, and most parents working I can't imagine where they expect these kids are going? |
