If your child takes the school bus home from school, does an adult meet the child at the bus stop?

statistically, I'm way more likely to kill my own child in my car than they get kidnapped. I will say some kids in our area don't have safe streets to cross, that would be a much bigger concern to me - the county asks kids to walk in places and for distances the adults who set the policies would never do themselves - though for my neighborhood elementary school the walk is luckily close with quiet streets. But with 50% of the schools having no aftercare, and most parents working I can't imagine where they expect these kids are going?
