IT vs Haynes

Anonymous
The majority residents are young and inexperienced, some quite skilled and great additions to their schools. There have been only a few more experienced (in life or education) residents. Heard good things about the resident they hired as the first grade teacher.

OP

It is not crazy to turn down Haynes. we turned down Haynes because it just didn't "feel right"... Our DS never attended the school and though we were very excited to be offered a space we decided not to go with it. Our friends think we are crazy but just trying to make the best choice for our family.

Does anyone know when Inspired plans to announce its plans for where it will be after next year?

I think once they have a for-certain plan, they will share it. That's how it happened two springs ago with the move to the current location. I would anticipate we won't know until spring 2014.

Just wanted to congratulate IT families on the DC CAS scores. What a great leap! So happy for you. I know you all have been working hard.

We are a new IT family who reside in Ward 5. We heard from a current parent that they put a bid in for Shaed, which I hope is true so that we don't have to do that commute for more than a year!

Where is Shaed located, and what transportation options is nearby?

Shaed is on 3rd and Douglas NE, near Franklin NE, next to Lincoln Road and Lincoln Road Cemetery.

Ward 5 parent who also heard the same. We will cross our fingers tightly that they are truly looking to move as the current space is unrealistic for a K-8 with that many non-ward 1 families who drive their children daily. Admins are so tight-lipped about big decisions so we will all have to be patient.

They just sent an email to enrolled families that includes a facility meeting in August, so hopefully by then they'll be able to share what is planned.

When is the facilities meeting? I didn't see anything on the calendar.

It's part of Beautification Day on 24th.
