Frozen Yogurt

So what is the difference between pink berry and sweet frog? I have gift cards for both. Is pink berry sweeter?

I have tried many of them around here - Pinkberry, Sweetfrog, FrozenYo, Lava Yogurt, Tutti Frutti and Zinga. Yes, my kids and I like yogurt!

My favorite is Pinkberry followed by Sweetfrog. I love the flavors of Pinkberry - Pomegranate, Lychee, Mango and find it tastes the freshest. Sweetfrog is good, too, but the flavors other than original and tart are lacking for me. A lot of the others taste too icy and watery.

There is a Sweet Frog off Rockville Pike, or on Rockville Pike, next to Rocklands BBQ.

OP, if you're still there, try the frozen yogurt at Ikea sometime.

Also, Sweet Green in Bethesda--tart but good.

Frozenyo is my favorite.

My favorite is Orange Leaf. I'm in the far out VA suburbs (Bristow) and we have one here.

relevance? what are we supposed to do with that information?

that's like pointing out that Caribou coffee is islamic and owned by the United Arab Emirates government. What's the point of that?

It's still good yogurt. It's still good coffee. What does religion have to do with commerce?

Maybe not for you, but I rather avoid giving more of my money to overly religious folks. Any religion, but I have a special distaste for christianity. On top of that, they play christian music - yuck!

you're an ugly human being.

Maybe you don't agree, but this position isn't ugly. Many object to organized religion on the grounds that it divides people and is the cause of most wars. I don't support religious organizations either.

32 below is really good but isn't there just the one on Barracks Row? My favorite is the fro zen yo near the White House.

I didn't know anyone else in Bristow read this board, LOL. I will have to be more careful about revealing details about myself. But, re the yogurt, I totally disagree. We have Zinga, Sweet Frog, and Orange Leaf in this area, and I find Sweet Frog to be by far the best of the three, both in terms of the taste of the yogurt and the toppings available. I was so disappointed when I went to Orange Leaf. Their original tart flavor tastes strange. I will say that their dairy free pineapple was excellent, though (for my dairy allergic child).

But nothing will ever compare to Pinkberry. I had it when I went to NYC in 2008 and no other frozen yogurt has ever come close to that deliciousness. That was back when they only had three flavors and it was understood that the original tart was the default. All these other flavors that make it just like 90s frozen yogurt defeats the purpose of it for me. I only ever get the original tart -- nothing else appeals. I actually went to an Orange Leaf in Kentucky last summer and they didn't even have original tart! I was aghast.

I like Pinkberry and Red Mango -- original flavor. I haven't liked others. They seem watery and too sweet to me.

I don't like Sweet Frog because of their evangelical proselytizing form of Christianity. Yes, the name stands for Fully Rely on God. I find that weird and oppressive in the name of a business. It is just yogurt. Please don't preach to me.

The Sweet Frog across from White FLint/NRC is very good, I must agree. Now, having said that, I totally agree with the posters who are disturbed by their proselytizing. My husband and 3 year old discovered it and came home having enjoyed the yogurt and the owner/staff, but they also brought home with them a chotchke that had the "Fully Rely on God" motto on it. I was very upset for the reasons others have stated, explained my concern to my husband and refused to go. (Of course my husband continued to take our son but that's one for the Relationships column....) . Since then I have backed down (call me a wimp, ok). It still really bugs me, altho the White Flint shop doesn't play the music.

Depending on what I'm in the mood for, I like Yogiberry (sweet) and Pinkberry (tart). Fro Zen Yo tastes artificial to me and the texture is weird. I like the taste of Tutti Frutti a lot but i don't like that its soy based so have only been once (isn't soy bad for you?) Don't like Red Mango at all. I havn't tried Sweet Frog or Zynga yet but will. Don't care about the religious aspect at all if they have a good product.
