Perfect home in the Palisades with a gorgeous view

I actually don't really like it.

I agree Palisades is the worst. I think expensive areas with no metro access tend to attract the most vulgar people.

I've never bought a house at ANY price and not had the painters come through. Why would you want to live with someone else's colors and smudges??

I agree that the ugly decor is an easy fix (except for the light fixtures-- replacing all THAT bad taste would get expensive) but I am biased against this house because the owner or agent can't stop insulting the intelligence of blog/ forum readers all over town. We seeeee you, owner/ agent! And we don't like you. Or your ugly overpriced house.

I'm lazy. I can deal with someone else's taste in neutrals for a few years (although I did paint my own house, but it was $300k and NOT tasteful neutrals). And I've discovered, painting on top of a sponging effect can require sanding, which is also annoying. And I didn't even notice the lighting! Bad house! Bad, bad!

These posters are the same people that think driving a Lexus is a "statement" to them. Is a typical upper class home.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out what was going on with that.

when they land from the South, they take off to the North

Yes, but they get up high enough, fast enough, that noise is not really much of an issue when they are going that direction.

Its amazing to me that people can live in such expensive houses but can't afford decorators.

OP sounds like the owner or agent. It's a pretty mish mash hideous house, even after the decor is removed. Way too suburban, even for the palisades.
