You might insist on the video story because the CIA told you that was what happened. Anyone who at this point doesn't realize that the CIA made this claim simply isn't paying attention or just doesn't want to know.

As usual, Jeff ignores the time lag between the CIA stating that was what happened (and it was vague at that) and when the Administration started using this talking point and the amount of time they used it.

But if you want to continue insisting that Obama, Clinton, et al are woefully uninformed, I can go there.

Obama receives his information from the CIA. What else do you expect of him? Do you really want a president who is surfing The Blaze and Twitchy for his information? Never mind that, I know you would love that to be the case. There was no time lag between the finalization of the talking points and their use. Go read the 100 emails just released and that will be confirmed for you.

Obama himself said he receives the news at the same time we do. So you ask him what you expect of him

Do I believe that? Not at all. He's full of crap in that regard. The fact is, the American people were lied to about the video, etc. That's been proven and picked up on by every news organization, including those at MSNBC, which is pretty remarkable actually.

You can keep believing he's squeaky clean in all this. I feel that any President who's absent after 5:30 PM on the night his Ambassador and three other men are killed, well, something's up

Your entire argument is predicated on "I just don't believe the President and he's full of crap." Ok. That's awesome. But it's not going to convince anyone who disagrees. People have explained to you why they disagree, over and over again, but there's really no arguing with "I think he's lying and full of crap." I wonder how much time you have spent going in circles with people that you could have been doing something better with your time.

I don't have to convince anyone - that isn't my goal. I'm simply asking some questions and hope y'all are considering your answers.

1) Does it make sense that the President would not check in after 5:30 PM on the night of 9/11/12 given the events occurring
2) Does it make sense that the President and Rice would go on the talk show circuit that far out from 9/11/12 with talking points about a video?
Anonymous
The only thing that makes sense is that the video was a "red herring" for the American people to distract them from the real issues.

It's very good that you bring this up. What were the real issues?

Ok. People have explained this to you over and over again in at least half a dozen threads. You just rehash the same thing literally hundreds of times. You've had the same interaction with people hundreds of times, like a nightmarish version of groundhog day. My question to you is:

WTF is wrong with you?

Not surprisingly, you appear to be misinformed about the talking points. The final revision of the talking points was completed on Saturday, September 15th at 11:26 am. Rice used them the next day. So, yes, it makes perfect sense. I assume that puts that question to rest for you.

Problem with PP is that they're a political zealot. They claim to have "known" about Obama's perfidy longer than the rest of us. And that's absolutely true. They knew he was pure evil the second he won the Democratic nomination in 2008.
Anonymous
Not the PP, however I disagree. The conservatives knew that Obama was not qualified to be President. He had never run anything and does not know how. He has proven that.
Anonymous
There is something seriously wrong with some of you. I am a Democrat. I'm fairly liberal. But come on! Where there is smoke there is fire. This administration has been a train wreck.

Also, it's clear that CBL is desperate for attention. This monomaniacal (and grossly misinformed) harping is a very effective way of getting it. Also sadly pathological, but that's a separate issue. It's clear that CBL doesn't get much attention from other humans IRL, so is left with acting out on the Internet in the hopes that getting a negative reaction from a bunch of strangers will compensate for being ignored by "loved ones".

And if Hillary had won, the zealots would have "discovered" a fatal flaw with her. As they did with Bill. And as zealots on the left did with Reagan. That's what zealots do. They're amazingly perceptive. They need no evidence at all--they just start with what they know and work their way backwards from their conclusion.
Anonymous
Hillary may have been a good Senator. However, like Obama, she does not know how to run an organization.

Funny, I'm a long-time Tea Party activist and NRA member who has always hated the President until now. All these non-issues drummed up by the liberal media to discredit him as he tacks to the center have won me over.

Exactly. They used the talking points, not the truth. The American people deserve the truth, not the edited truth "for our own good".

That there was a terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9/11/2012 that the President and his Administration did not prepare for, and tried to cover up after the fact so they would not harm the election. That's at the very least.

Where WAS the President on this evening after 5:30 PM?
