Great Gatsby
We saw the movie with our 14 year old. She "thought Daisy was a butthead" The movie was not great. DiCaprio was good but it seemed like the rest of the movie casting was just to showcase him. Not very interesting or sympathetic. Looking at the Nick character got old. And Daisy's husband was way off cast for a Yalie of the 1920s. The women had bizarre southern/society accents.
Daisy (Zelda) was from AL. so, yes they would have southern accents.

Couldn't persuade my 16-year-old to go. She loved Leo in Titanic, but she says he's old and "puffy" now. Sigh. Of course, I tell her that Titanic was made the year she was born and look how much she's changed in 16 years.

He definitely is puffy. His head just seems ginormous these days.

They made it in 3D so everyone would have to pay $14. It greatly increases the per-theater take.

I saw it in non 3D at Montgomery Mall for $10.75.

Thanks for the spoiler, douche.

Not a spoiler. The opening scene has Nick in the looney bin. And the hip hop music is in the trailer.
I liked the music ... But thought overall the movie tried too hard
