Nice school for those who didn't get into the Ivies. |
From a reputation perspective, Tufts seems like GW to me - smart kids, but generally well off and entitled. |
That could apply to any kid at any elite private school that is not going on financial aid including the ivies. They are all overpriced. From Tufts to GW to Georgetown to Princeton to Yale to WUSL to BC to University of Chicago. |
Cold and expensive. |
I went to Tufts, got a great education, made great friends, expanded my horizons and went on to Law School. I was a rural public high school grad on financial aid, and had my first experience with the more privileged class at Tufts -- it's probably a 50/50 split from domestic students; but there's also a great variety of international students. I was drawn there for International Relations, but did not ultimately decide to major in it. |
Tufts is an excellent school, nothing like GW (which is not bad but not excellent either), with very interesting students and a nice campus, well located. It has changed dramatically in the last decade or so, and one thing I have noticed on this College Discussion in general, is many people's views of schools are seriously out of date. |
