It's not that far (maybe 1.5/2 hours from DC)? Drive the back road through Middleburg and stop at the British store for snacks and photos in the red phone booth they have outside the shop (HP fans will especially enjoy). There's a pink roadside ice cream stand near DLand - totally worth a stop. Drive through Front Royal on the way home and stop at the Melting Pot (no, it's not the same as the fondue place) for pizza - and don't forget to stop at the caves that have the mirror maze (forget the name - sorry) - a day you will all remember |
