Many religious women marry at a younger age than those on DCUM deem appropriate. She probably won't be posting on the the New York version of DCUM under TTC or special needs kids.

You mean http://www.urbanbaby.com ? You're kidding then, because a 19 yo Special Ed major who lands this guy as a husband surely will work her way onto that forum, eventually. She's sephardic, not necessarily orthodox and this isn't Israel; we're talking Brooklyn.

She's definitely orthodox, she asked if he was shabbat observant and kept kosher. I don't know it means that its Brooklyn, not Israel cc many parts of Brooklyn are more observant than parts of Israel.

Most likely they're Syrian Jews who do marry young, live near other Syrian Jews, have kids, and are most definitely observant.

Wait, are they Jewish? I can't tell.

You only marry below your class if the girl is not as educated as you, or not from a wealthy family
They both come from a family with money and the same cult. Sounds like the man got the most of his internships because of who he knows, not because of merit

PP: "cult" ... "merit"....

OH NO SHE DI'NT!!

"My love, you had me at Yale...."

He's one of these booksmart guys who is otherwise oblivious and has no EQ. He probably was saying what he was thinking, but was not aware enough to know how he would come off. I mean it was probably a short phone interview, or worse, email questionnaire, and this is what he wanted to highlight?

He may end up a successful behind the scenes and anonymous Big Law partner (think ERISA or the like), but you'll never be reading about him again in the NYT or elsewhere.

His yenta mother picked out his gorgeous trophy wife and did a good job. She wrote the whole submission to the NYT and will prattle on endlessly about her coup for the rest of their marriage.

Of course they both have money. Her father probably own half the Diamond District and his father probably owns a block in Tel Aviv.

I would find it more interesting if they occasionally threw in story about ordinary people.

"Lucas, who owns the popular "Inked on Main" in Massapequa, has tattoooed many celebrities. "I'm self taught. Yeah, my work has really evolved over the years." Madison, a graduate of Suffolk County Community College is a Veterinary Technician. The two adopted a pair of blue nosed Pit Bulls early in the relationship, which served as attendants at their nuptials. The couple honeymooned at Hedonism II in Jamaica."

No. The given are their horns and big noses and their ownership of Hollywood. Don't you know anything?

I dont understand where you got this from in the article. I dont see anything about family connections or family money. I happen to have a FB friend in common with the guy and he went to an ordinary Jewish day school, then Yale undergrad and is now in Yale law. Nothing so exciting about his family. Just seems like a smart kid whose family saw a pretty girl and wanted to set him up. Turns out the girl was not just pretty but a good match overall.

Good luck to the happy couple!

I love this.

She's 19 -- way too early to tell if she's a good match.
