Let's cut to the friggin chase - what doc does the best c-section in DC?

Dr. Nevin also performed my c-section which I ended up requesting after failed induction and inability to dilate. Dr. Nevin was absolutely fantastic. I had been very against getting a c section until I was unable to dilate and now I think a c section could be the way to go in certain circumstances. The first 48 hours are tough. Within 4 days, however, I had minimal pain, the scar is extremely low and discrete, and her bedside manner is excellent - she really listens and is very responsive. I'm very happy with how things turned out!

If you're not set on WHC, I had a great experience with a c-section with Dr. Bowles-Johnson at Georgetown. You'll see postings on here that question her bedside manner (I didn't have any issues with that), but if I had to have another c-section, I'd go to her. Aside from doing a great job on the actual surgery, she discussed and honored my requests in the OR (as far as seeing the baby, skin to skin contact, etc). And the labor and delivery nurses at Georgetown are fantastic!
