You are an idiot. Now everyone knows it. |
This describes our eldest, but we chose Sheridan. Lowell had a similar attraction but 1. is further from our house and 2. the middle school piece was too new for our comfort. We toured Maret, GDS and Sidwell but ultimately filled out the app just for GDS (rejected for K). The thing is, as a PP pointed out, if your children are objectively at the leading edge of the bell curve, no elementary school experience is going to take that away from them. Even an iffy DCPS cannot snatch that away. So your top %tile kid is going to have an array of choices upon leaving a K-6/8. If you like NPS for 3rd grade and Sidwell for 9-12, your 99%tile son is going to have that Sidwell option upon 6th grade graduation, in all likelihood. Sorry about the possible hijack. |
can you elaborate please??? |
| Lowell has our first choice for both our children and we have loved the school. I will echo another person's point that not everyone wants a "big three" school and may value the small community at Lowell. The K-8 environment was our first choice and Lowell was our favorite school that met that requirement. |
| I can only speak to pre-primary,but Lowell is an amazing beautiful place. The kids are bright and happy. The teachers are warm and caring. My kid is smart and she goes there. |
Yes, you should apologize. Your pontification was truly annoying. |
