I thought "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" was fantastic.
Also enjoyed -- though enjoyed might be the wrong word -- "The Worst Hard Time" by Timothy Egan. Another good/scary/timely read is "Flu" by Gina Kolata. |
