Questions for the career changers who became psychologists:
How long did it take to get your degree? Did you go full or part-time? How much did the whole thing cost? Did you quit your law job while in school? I'm not a lawyer but would love to change careers to focus on marital therapy. I have an obscure M.A. but somehow managed to parlay it into a position with a 130k salary and lots of flex. The problem is that it's not my passion. Trying to decide whether it's crazy to try and make the switch at age 42. |

I wish I had done that too. Or I wish I had been an occupational therapist and wish I could have worked with water to rehabilitate. Love swimming and the pool. I meet so many speech or occupational therapists who love what they do. I am not a lawyer though. I knew myself and that wasn't the way to go for me.
