So what was your New Year's breakfast?

Coffee and maple-walnut oatmeal.

Waffle, coffee.

Smoked sausage and roasted potatoes on the grill, baked black-eyed peas from the crock pot, Sauteed onions and green and yellow peppers, oven baked bacon, sugar baked red beans and Nathan's™ hotdogs. I started cooking New Year's morning, it went all day and night while we watched Twilight Zone Marathon. I snuggled with kids and DH (this was the best part), drank seltzer and ginger ale and played with our dog. Periodically, the kids played X-Box for a few hours, then they would go outside to play soccer or touch football. Toward New Year's afternoon, I baked a blueberry pie and we later ate it with vanilla ice cream. Seriously, this is what we did for the last 4 days really. It was pioneer days on the prairies of Brandywine Street. I think I even saw some tumbleweed!

Now that's a New Year's meal! Great ideas for next year.

What the heck is that?

Migas is usually the Mexican version of scrambled eggs and chorizo is a spicy sausage. Yum!

Yup, onions, jalapenos, and bits of chopped chorizo, fried up and then scrambled into eggs, served with corn tortillas, links of more chorizo, and coffee.

Now I'm hungry again.

No, but I would like to know what TSFG had for breakfast on NYD. In fact, I'd like to know what TSFG's diet generally consists of. He is a fascinating man (or woman perhaps, who can say for sure?).
