Do you have (or wish you had) any features of a home that make life easier?

A non-flooding basement, or else no basement at all. Would far prefer a slab foundation, than a basement that gets flooded.

I wish we had a big beautiful mudroom. So badly want one. I also want laundry on the bedroom level. We built a deck that is 2 times the size of our old deck which we love, but I wish we could move the outdoor HVAC system around the corner. It is really noisy when you are outside.

Bought a house that has a instant hot tap and it is wonderful. Not just for making tea, but also for washing dishes!

What do you mean? It should be a full bath? None at all?

Central vacuum system. Google "Hide a hose".

Those pull out kitchen shelves in the lower cabinets. Also the skinny, vertical lower cabinet for cookie trays and cutting boards (about 6" wide)

We have laundry chute and laundry on first floor. Lots of closets, one for sheets and one for towels in the hallway upstairs.

We are redoing the kitchen and have all drawers on lower cabinets and pull out pantry cabinets. Have an induction range that is so easy to clean.

We have a guest room with attached bathroom on first floor.

Love our house for all those things.

Wish we had instant hot water like the PP.

Laundry room on top floor...or any floor, but with full-size machines. Only stackables fit in our basement area, and it takes 3 loads just to do our sheets. We plan to renovate.
