| Funny that Elliot gives me trying too hard to be Stern vibe. |
| Sports junkies! |
| Team Elliot, but they need to hire another Flounder type to round out the show though. |
| Still think the radio in DC is junk... Get my satelite radio fix of WRXT from Chicago; Lin Bremher, Terri Hemmert, and Frank E. Lee cover my day morning, noon and afternoon. Then flip to WTOP for traffic. WXRT actually plays and talks about MUSIC! ! |
| Also an Elliot fan. Although I do find the eating on air annoying. |
| Elliot is a fool, but he is my fool. some funny shit on that show |
You guys don't know what you are missing, the show is so much better without all the censorship! And it's not like the swearing is out of control either...it's just so free. You know that Artie is off the show now, right? |
| PS all these other Jackoff disc jockies mentioned on this thread? ALL of them do a format that Stern pioneered. |
| Only "The glass enclosed nerve center" WTOP will do. |

I mainly flip between 3 stations:
99.5 for the music and Sarah's Hollywood Dirt. Also the Friday weekend role out. I change it whenever they are talking, can't stand them or the War of the Roses crap. DC101. Elliot is hilarious, been listening to him and the group for 10+ years. He is also an amazing interviewer. Change it when the topic bores me or if it is about sports. Usually like it when he's interviewing comedians though. Also, Greg Roche's Doo-doo time spectacular in the afternoons is awesome. NPR. I like it when it's ACTUALLY news or an insider's account. HATE the mind-blowingly boring and pretentious music transitions, ads, ("support for NPR..blah blah"), and the pronunciation/intonation of some of the reporters. Sounds so pretentious sometimes (banjos, really? harmonicas now?) |
|
99.5- most often. I like them, sad sammy left.
NPR- if there is a good story I use to like 98.7 Country back when it was ben and brian, but the new guy boxer is terrible and insanely cheesy, plus his voice is terrible. i have no idea how he is on the radio. |
|
i used to love 99.5 but now their shtick is getting old, i am starting to see how their war of the roses and other segments are coming off as too contrived and find the constant sex talk annoying and unsuitable for kids in the car.
i also agree they seem to be trying to push the new kids mel & john too hard. |
|
99.5, 102.3, 93.9, 95.5, and 96.3.
I also listen to the Rickie Smiley show on 92.3 here and there. 95.5 has gone downhill. |
|
Used to love 93.9. Now can't stand to listen to Russ' sidekick, Alfredas. Such an annoying, know-it-all. I also don't like that she talks over the callers/guests of the show a lot.
95.5-Liked Tigger and Free. Pablo is okay, but I don't listen to the show much anymore. Will tune in and out to see if they're talking about something fun/interesting. I do love the interaction between Julie Wright and Pablo/Guy Lambert. 92.3-Love Rickie Smiley. I always seem to catch them on a commercial! 104.1-Used to listen a lot, but Yolanda can get a bit preachy and tiresome. She's also a bit of a killjoy when the guys on the show want to have fun. 99.5-Started to listen about a year ago. This is what I listen to mostly, but I don't like their "Kane Scams" or "War of the Roses". So obviously fake; makes them seem insincere during other segments of their show. Also Kane sounds a bit uptight and anal sometimes. |
| The Mike O'Meara show on podcast. |
