He isn't faking the photo op. A photo op is pretty much a set up picture and that is what he was doing. He was at the shelter, he was washing dishes (and apparently they were dirty). All politicians set up photo ops...all day long. Google photo ops Obama or any other politician. If you had just seen a clip of Ryan washing dishes, a clip of him shaking hands - it would have looked like every other photo op. Do I think the shot / set-up was ridiculous - yes. But faked - no. |
If you cannot see the fallacy in your argument, you are as out of touch with the plight of the poor and middle class as the Romney campaign. |
Why is he washing or pretending to wash the dishes of some of those disgusting takers? Doesn't he know they had the gall to eat donated food in them? |
Source please for when you claim that Obama hosted dinner parties for Beyonce and Jay-Z |

Actually I am part of the poor so am pretty in touch with it. |
Photo op in elementary school - look at me care about children.
Photo-op in hospital - look at me care about sick people Photo op in LTC - look at me care about the elderly Photo-op in diner - look at me care about the working class Photo-op in soup kitchen - look at me care about the poor Isn't this pretty standard for every campaign? |
Spin all you want the 18000+comments section on Yahoo, the trending topic from the debate last night are all very clear. The Romney campaign is out of touch with the poor, the middle-class and after last night's gaffe, clearly women. |
It would appear that have decided he is most useful as Romney's chief apologist: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/election-2012/wp/2012/10/17/paul-ryan-defends-binders-of-women/ |
It's the other way around - they hosted a fundraiser for the President. Just like Romney's had rich people host fundraisers for him. Another non-issues, non-story. |
Staged photo-op:
Audience given lab coats to put on before Obama talks about health care: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/politics/item_KOV0zdZCzeTSczGWcTVsyK And do you really think the bear hug with the pizza owner was spontaneous? Of course not. His security team would have been standing back looking at their phones as a man grabbed the President. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7421142n The reality is the President can't really go many places unannounced or really do spontaneous photo ops due to security. Everything is scoped out ahead of time, planned and orchestrated. It is all scripted and staged. Michelle Obama has done them too - the shopping target trip etc.. Media were told ahead of time she would be there for 30 minutes. Part of politics. That being said - Ryan did a terrible job of staging his photo op at the soup kitchen. The goal is to make them look real - his didn't look real in the least. Definite fail. |
I hope by now you all realize that OP was wrong and that you have wasted hours of your time typing about an event that did not take place. Yes, he did the pots and pans but they were dirty. NBC news says

After he had one of his staff members call to tell the volunteers to save some dishes for him to wash, that is. They had cleaned the kitchen and, if not for Ryan, would have gone home. |
OMG that is pathetic. It was bad enough when his workout photos were staged in a photo studio instead of a real gym. I wouldn't be surprised if one of his staffers changed the number on the dumbell. |
