Running in Rock Creek

I live in upper Northwest and regularly run at 6-6:30 am 3-4 times a week and have for years. I do not run through the park - in fact I only do that on the roads or trails near the roads on the weekends when traffic is light. I do run all over the side streets in upper NW as I like to run on asphalt and have never had a problem. I think if you stick to streets where you can run up and bang on someone's door you should be okay. Also, I never run in headphones - mostly because I like to run in the street so I need to hear traffic.
