It's not about labels, it's about INGREDIENTS. You should be able to recognize and pronounce all of them, and there shouldn't be a ton, for most of the foods you buy.

So I should stop eating quinoa (that's kwin-oh-ah, right?)

Sorry, no quinoa for you - it's keen-wah.

And if you are linguistically talented, and have no problem with Maltodextrin... well, that's just more junk food for you!

You can buy good for you or crappy for you food anywhere. Trader Joes often has cheaper or more interesting options (cheeses, wine). Also, I like the size of the store. I feed a family of four and generally avoid the processed products.

If there is any knock on TJs, it would be excess packaging.

Yes. No. Yes.

I guess you don't read labels either. The majority of Safeway shelves are stocked with the exact same items that are in Giant and Wegman's. Additionally, Safeway produces more products in the "O organics" line than Giant or Wegman do in their "healthy" lines. It's really what you buy, not where you buy it.

Say it again! Some people have comprehension issues. It's never been about a particular store (except for pricing). It's what you buy. Stay on the perimeter of any store, and your health and waistline will improve.
