The "BB" line of products

Another vote for not liking the Garnier. It makes me feel itchy and never blends well.

However, I did try the Covergirl foundation with the Olay moisturizer -- the Tone Rehab foundation. I have noticed an improvement in my skin with that one.

The reason i gave up traditional foundation is because they feel too heavy on my skin, and they are a pain to apply.

I still need a moisturizer under my tinted moisturizer. As i get older, i feel i may need lightly more coverage, but im not really willing to go back to a traditional foundation.

Does it sound like a bb cream would be right for me?

I've gone from tinted m to BB loreal. More coverage and one of the colors works for me. You still look less made up than with foundation.

I have the Maybelline BB and really like it. It gives me a light smooth finish. I use it for every day and, if I'm going to a meeting or something, put Mac Studio Fix powder on top of it for more coverage.

Does BB cream really work as a substitute for a stand-alone primer? I find that primer has a different "feel" than normal moisturizer or liquid foundation, almost kind of velvety for lack of a better word. It's annoying to do primer as a separate step but I really think it makes a huge difference in how my makeup goes on and stays on. It sounds like BB might enable me to skip foundation but I would still need concealer and blush so I would still need something that "primes."

Yes, it's more like a primer, I think.
