OP here. I am really shocked that you don't care about the children. I don't care if someone illegal is deported either. It is the risk that are taking, knowingly, but the children are innocent. I am not talking about the teenagers. I am talking about the babies and younger ones that depend on a mother's LOVE, not her lifestyle. What the hell is wrong with a country that will sit back and let their gov. take away children from a parent, deport the parent, put the child in foster care and think the child will be ok? Send the child back with the parent and let them decide to come back when they are adults!
Seems so black and white to me. But, the rich american wants a baby and the poor illegal immigrant can do nothing about someone basically STEALING their baby! IMO

When Germany invaded Poland all blond children under 5 were exported to Germany to be adopted
Argentinas dictatorship placed children of political enemies in adoption.

Back to the original question...I am as surprised as you are -- assuming that is the case. Does being deported from Country X (in this case, the USA) automatically mean losing guardianship of one's kids? Why? If not, what prevents the parents, once back in Country Y, from claiming their kids to be reunited with them? (I would assume only a small minority would rather see their kids put in state custody) Once the kids become adults, they can come back to the US on their own, as Americans, if they choose to.

I DOdislike you greatly. Your world is so S.I.M.P.L.E. Undocumented immigrants are not violent and don't come here to hurt people. They come to work and provide food and basics for their families. While here, many do pay income tax that pays into the social security account of a dead person, so the undocumented immigrant will never see the fruits of the taxes they paid. They contribute to the economy through purchases of food, rent, and other consumer goods.

I believe the next generation should benefit from higher education, through in-state tuition and become a contributing tax paying member of society. Would you rather that they remain uneducated, low skilled and dependent on government subsidies, which would continue to be a drain on public funds?

In 1980, our Federal and state facilities held fewer than 9,000 criminal aliens but at the end of 2003, approximately 267,000 illegal aliens were incarcerated in U.S. correctional facilities at a cost of about $6.8 billion per year.
At least 4.5 million pounds of cocaine with a street value of at least $72 billion is smuggled across the southern border every year. ..
56% of illegal aliens charged with a reentry offense had previously been convicted on at least 5 prior occasions.
Illegal aliens charged with unlawful reentry had the most extensive criminal histories. 90% had been previously arrested. Of those with a prior arrest, 50% had been arrested for violent or drug-related felonies.
