That's ridiculous. Kids love theme parks. "Educational" places and theme parks don't have to be mutually exclusive. They aren't in our family. What, do you feed your kids veggies to the total exclusion of occasional sweets?

Agree with the Alaska rec. My family did it when I was 21 and my brother was 17 and we had a blast. Plenty of what we did would be appropriate for younger kids, too.

I'm surprised there's not much love for Central/Eastern Europe. Would have loved to have spent two weeks just in Budapest, Prague, and surrounding areas (maybe Vienna, too).
