If I start DD in public, will she ever get into a good private school?

Both my kids and almost all my friends' kids started at DCPS and moved to private middle school (and I'm talking about over 20 kids). They all got into a school that was right for them. Many had multiple acceptances. The only cautionary note is if your kid is at one of the up and coming elementaries or charters thta theprivate schools are not familiar with. They are very familiar with the Ward 3 schools, however. I highly recommend saving the money and making the move for MS or US.
