, young healthy ppl opting to pay a penalty bc why buy insurance tiL you need it now.
So without the young healthy ppl in the system the rates GO UP, Drs opting out of this and going private.
. Accepting no insurance as many do in Britian. Ironic .. Obama told the American ppl this was not a tax... The only reason this dog was upheld is that Roberts deemed it a TAX for everyone. At least Roberts was honest as to what this is.

Please.

I see the summer interns in the flack department of the Republican National Committtee have started posting some more. As Ronald Reagan liked to say, "there you go again!" It's laughable that the GOP Right is now trying to spin the ACA mandate as a "tax increase on the American people." Regardless of the constitutional bucket under which it was upheld, if the mandate is a tax increase, doesn't that mean that Mitt Romnsey raised taxes on the good people of Massachusetts? Hey, Mitt, that dog (on the roof) won't hunt!

It's a tax only in the way a lottery is a tax on people who are bad at math.

Frankly, I'm a little gobsmacked that Republicans oppose this. It's going to make all their buddies in the insurance industry rich...

Also, that goddanmed socialist Obama, going to bat for Corporate America again.

Fuck me twice and call me Sally.

Words mean different things in different contexts. This "tax" is a tax for Constitutional purposes, but it is not a tax in the normal sense, any more than a corporation is a person in the normal sense.

I was unsure how I felt about Obamacare until this morning when I saw Eric Cantor spewing a nonsensical argument about it on "Morning Joe" today. His objections were so completely based in fantasy ( the govt is destroying liberty and freedom, nobody will be able to choose their doctors anymore, etc) that now I have moved from being skeptical of the plan to being a supporter. The only rational argument he mad is that Obamacare will not contain costs of healthcare, but of course he does not have a plan that will.

I thought the two righty female talking heads on Fox's The Five were having newgasms over how the decision will benefit Romney

It's cognitive dissonance. The last thing Romney needs is to debate Obamacare vs. Romneycare. Their only hope is to keep all eyes on the economy and hope for the worst there. But I don't think they have the discipline to do that.

I have recieved and read multiple CEO letters concering the hidden taxes on medical technologies and drugs that will force companies to raise product costs. In the end this bill will cause costs to skyrocket at an even faster pace than before.

"The $20B tax was included in the Affordable Care Act that was signed into law in 2010. The amount is based on a 2.3% excise tax that will be levied on the total revenues of a company, regardless of whether a company generates a profit, starting in 2013. " http://www.medicaldevices.org/issues/Health-Care-Reform,-Device-Tax

The majority of america wants it repealed. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/obama_and_democrats_health_care_plan-1130.html

Don't forget to vote for your freedom against being forced into a government program.

Stocks especially private medical research (the ones that actually do R&D in finding new drugs / technologies) have taken a huge dive, and it will only get worse

My healthcare is through CIGNA which, the last time I checked, is a corporation that is not part of the US Govt.

Yes. Are you claiming that words are independent of context? Do you know anyone who sleeps in a flower bed?

If you disagree, please state reasons rather than spewing expletives.

Even if Romney wins, Repub's take control of house and senate repeal is impossible. Senate Dem's will filibuster, Repub's won't have 60 votes...checkmate.
Let's get real
