PS potty training

For the poster that says there is a law in DC that public schools have to accept students who are potty trained, can you provide information on the law? I haven't been able to find any. My understanding is that DCPS takes students who are not potty trained because DCPS has Head Start grant funding and Head Start funded programs don't require potty training.

Charters do not get head start funding. They can make their own rules.

This is correct. Charter schools are not held to the same standards as DCPS ECE classrooms which are all held to Head Start regulations.

Oh please.

No, charter schools do not get to sort their students by "potty-training" ability any more than other public schools can.

The ignorance and fear is pathetic.

Anyhoo, we're doing better during the day but still not there! She has been having accidents once every 2-3 days.

Update for the OP - I'm happy to report that we haven't had any accidents in almost 2 weeks (12 days). Out of nowhere, DD now tells us when she has to go. She keeps saying she wants to ride the school bus...maybe that was incentive enough! How's it going for you?
