Graduation announcement- what is appropriate response?

What a bizarre statement. Since when does middle class equal “no money” aka impoverished? By definition middle class means enough money to be doing much better than many folks.

My mom was insistent that I send announcements for my graduation. In my community, not everyone graduated from high school. That said, there was no expectation of a gift. If you want to, send something but don't feel obligated. A card would be nice. I also like the idea of a check in the amount of the graduation year.
