Bethesda pool is overcrowded. Thanks District residents

Little Falls Parkway near Arlington Road. It is right on the Capital Crescent Bike trail, so that is an alternative that will keep the OP head scratching.

This is why I don't belong to a pool. If I stayed home I could see it making sense but we work and the thought of a crowded pool on the weekends sounds really unappealing. We are doing swim lessons at the Y, and saving the pool for vacation and when we see my parents this summer.

I think I might, too, and we BELONG to a pool in Silver Spring (gasp) of all places!

See you there as I conveniently forget swim diapers, too! Caddyshack all the way, baby!

I get why why it might not be worth it for you but just FYI, I've found that pools you actually have to join tend to be much less crowded on the weekends. They only allow a certain number of members, which is unfortunately why it's also somewhat pricey. We went to our pool yesterday and it was full but not crazy. There were plenty or chairs available and plenty of room in the pools. I'm not familiar with the Bethesda pool but it sounds like it is a public pool rather than a club, so I'm not surprised that it gets packed. (When I say "club" I don't mean a fancy country club, just your basic neighborhood swim club.)

Um, why would we go to the 'burbs when we have two pools w/in a few blocks and would have to drive by several others including Wilson to get to that history filled oasis that is Bethesda. But if it's a no diaper pool, well that's diff. We're on our way!

Sounds like OP is mad because she doesn't have enough money to join a country club!

We're potty training, and it sounds like this pool in Bethesda is the perfect pool for DS to practice holding it in. See you there tomorrow!

Deal?

Heck, MD residents need to stay off the Mall. And particular, stay out of Air and Space!

No, those are Federal properties. Bethesda Pool is ridiculous.

Why would DC residents go to this pool? DC pools are nice, and free to DC residents. I have heard of many MD residents going to Wilson Pool though - and whining when DC raised the rates for non-residents.

I use false documents to get into the Bethesda pool. It is the least I can do to help recoup the cost of subsidizing Maryland school children attending DC schools.
