from the comments ive read, you wouldnt be interested in my answer and would think im just making stuff up because i like wasting my life doing such things.

i am fine entertaining this entire episode completely ignoring race because it seems to cloud some people's judgement. i think a reasonable person can see an injustice in this case without bringing up race but i havent seen or read too much where a successful discussion has occurred without race coming up at all. not sure if that says something about how much race really plays part in this or how bad the people discussing the issue want to bring up the racial component of the case.
