The father and daughter are not natives of Brazil. The father used to work for Emmet (the guy who is lost) and he fired him. However, Emmet's wife hired him for the expedition down the Amazon. I believe Emmet met the father and daughter when he was in the amazon years before. However, the Amazon also flows through Spanish speaking countries as well. |
