No. You had to prove that the children were DC residents via the online accounts you make for them for any DC DPR event.

Actually all you had to do was add any child to a dc account. EAsily a non dc resident could be enrolled

I was one of the Saturday morning parents who did not get a spot, nor did I get one today. My kids have attended Chevy Chase for 5 and 4 years and now I have to find a new site. Any recommendations for other sites?

Vent: I spoke w my nanny who cares for my infant before registration as to what her thoughts were for the summer, can she handle the 3 YO and the baby or does she want me to enroll her in DC Parks and Rec Summer Camp at our local park. At that time she stated she was fine with the 2 kids for the summer. 3 days later - she comes to me saying she reconsidered and thinks it will be best for me to find something for the Pre-Schooler for the summer.

I am so mad right now as that window is now closed. Obviously I can do other summer camps that are a lot more expensive and not walking distance from our house. But to pay for a nanny and a private camp is ridiculous.

Find a nanny who can handle both kids.

Agreed. Petworth was our fall-back plan

I heard Macomb is good?

We were at Macomb last year and have signed up both our kids this summer. I wouldn't call it great--the facility is so small, one dark little building and the playground, no spray park. It gets so hot by mid-summer and I think when the staff can't keep the kids outside, there's a fair amount of DVD/TV watching. But it seemed safe and our daughter (then 4) seemed to have a good time. They went on a field trip every other Friday, as I recall.
