DCUM advertisements: What are you getting served and what do you think about them?

I opted out of google's using my info for ads, and I'm not sure what it did but I will say this, I am SO glad that I no longer have to see "rufflebutts" ads! I googled them to send a picture to a friend about how I thought they were hideous and inappropriate, and the next thing I know every single page load featured a little toddler in a dress and pose I thought was tacky and creepily adult-like. They're gone now, and have been since whatever I did to the google thing. Who knows, though. FYI to everyone using gmail - not only do they use your search history to display ads for you, but they also scan your emails. Fucked up, huh? I'm wondering if there is a decent alternative to gmail.

Now I'm both desperately curious to see what "rufflebutts" are and terrified of what will happen if I Google them.

I had an ad for mobile and modular homes. I was a bit perplexed at that one.
I get petunia pickle bottom a lot too.

I see a lot of ads for childcare search sites, purses and Zulily. I don't carry a purse and my child is well past the toddler clothes and nanny stages. When I clicked on the "things that are off limits to women" thread, it had ads for mail order brides. Do you think they do laundry and soccer shuttling? I may look into that.

ruffle butts.

Thanks.

Sometimes I get sad that I only have sons, and will never be able to dress a little girl in crazy-cute clothes. But now I can be relieved that no relative will ever give me such an article of clothing for my baby.

This looks like a hospital gown to me. This baby looks pissed.

the ruffle butt part is just the bottom. If you google it, there are other pictures of babies in just the ruffled diaper cover.

Ha ha!. Ruffle Butts ad-getter / googler here. The ad I was getting on DCUM was even worse! Featured the same bizarre open backed type dress, but the baby was leaning over something and looking around over her shoulder, with her ruffle-covered butt on display. I agree, that baby, like this baby SHOULD be pissed.

Ironically, the reason I was googling them was to show an image as OP did - for this forum. I believe the thread was something like "whack stuff on zulily" and I was mentioning that some of the stuff is really inappropriate clothing, like "mama's little boyfriend" and "daddy's little mafia princess" onesies (no, really) and a particular ruffle butts outfit that I haven't seen since, but basically a skin tight ruffly tube dress with the middle cut out of it, basically the kind of thing you'd expect to be on some terrible "bad parent of a toddler in show business" reality show.

I never could find the offending outfit and yes, there's NO WAY I'm googling for it! Also, something a bit off about googling "revealing / inappropriate toddler outfit" in the first place. I mean, I think naked toddlers are hilarious and sweet / cute / whatever. But the outfit in question was definitely one of those awful "I'm SEXY" outfits for preschoolers / toddlers / young girls. I thought it was offensive, so imagine my chagrin to keep seeing the ad. And boy, google did not give up on that one. I saw that ad for months!

What's a little bit concerning about it is, what if I were someone looking for these ads for something other than humor / example of something offensive? I could see a pedo being pushed over the edge by it. Say he / she does a search for it, then is bombarded by ads featuring scantily clad toddlers. Something about google ads is really unsettling, and that's part of it.
