A number of good Episcopal churches in the area. Most people where I attend stopped in one Sunday and kept coming back because it fit them. Probably true for many churches. Find one close by and go one Sunday until you find one you like. At my church the 8 am service is quiet, the 9:15 is lively (large # families with kids), and the 11:15 has the extremes of age, younger and older. St. Alban's in DC. It has a strong outreach program for people in need, strong program for children and youth, a growing 20s and 30s program, new rector with thoughtful sermons. As a bonus, I met my husband there many years ago.
