Not when, but WILL you retire?

I don't plan to retire unless I'm not physically or mentally able to work. Most people I have known have died once they retired.

Thought we were good, but FP told us we will need another 200-300k each just to cover medical cost. He thinks mean testing and /or having to pay insurance(instead of medicare) into late 60's or how ever long you live, will be expensive.

My grandfather retired at 60 and lived to be 93. He said only the last 10 years of his life were boring.

We got married older, have a special needs child, and neither of us earned much money until my husband's salary increased significantly the past 5 years. With our current financial planning, I don't see anyway he is retiring until at least 75 (thankfully, he doesn't want to retire because he loves his job) and hopefully I will go back to work soon so we can build up something ore than bare minimum for sustained life. Then we'll figure it out with each passing year.
