Adults with ADHD who use it as an excuse for everything are pretty much the definition of flaky. There are many in my extended family, I'm not trying to make a passive-aggressive jab at OP. |

It's a very derisive word just one step above calling someone a liar, a-hole, etc., without coming out and saying it. |
The word seems to have changed meaning in the last 20 years or so. It used to mean odd/weird and now it means someone worthy of extreme dislike. |
Because the previous flaky poster person finally got around to responding. 8-9 months sounds about right for a flaky person. But that flaky person was certainly less flaky than the person who replied 9 years later. Wow. |
