| My child went to Joy of Motion class at the Atlas Studio. We sometimes arrived late (traffic, parking were such a headache) and were never turned away. We also were allowed to attend make up classes if we had to miss a class. Not sure if they changed policies. I don't blame OP for being upset. |
| OP can be upset - my problem with the OP is venting on a public forum. OP, vent to your friends and husband but don't drag through the mud a reputable business with clearly stated policies on DCUM. Just crappy in my book. If I were to vent on DCUM for every thing that bothered me, I might need to seek counseling for some validation issues. |

Thank you 12:10!! The same here...
I can not stress it enough---these forums are being so abused by parents that put out their anger at companies that stood by their policies-- either refund policies or personal feeling about instructors/administration, or because their kid just could not handle the activity they signed up for. These are life lessons, and such parents need to get over it, and move on. Why they hardly ever complain about the service itself, not it is usually about something that they could get away with?? This makes this entire blog loose its value, and quite frankly I can no longer rely on opinions posted in here. It's crazy that we need to read through personal "therapy sessions", as there is no valuable feedback at all. |
| Sorry, I disagree with the clock Nazi parents who are dumping on the OP. Interrupting a dance class for 3 year olds? It's not the Royal Academy, OK? As a mom who is trying to drag a preschooler and a toddler to classes and has run into hitches that make us late (poopy Pull-ups, traffic jams, tantrums anyone?) I would want to know if the class I signed up for was going to take my money and not let my child in for being 10 minutes late. |
They don't take your money if you don't take the class. |
So true, let's teach our kids that being late is ok. And, in fact...hitting, that is ok too!!! Screw the rules!!!! Why have them at all. Stop the class so that the OP's child can have her way and make everyone else wait. Btw, my child hit someone in class today. I'm going to let her know that....from now in Washington, DC no longer is following rules for 3 year olds. It's every man for themselves. |
